Usually we can plan an examination, vaccination or consultation on short term notice.
The Medical Center for Seamen Amsterdam provides medical examinations, travel vaccinations and medical consultations at general practitioner level for seamen and inland skippers.
Our practice is equipped as a standard GP practice with extensive laboratory facilities so consultations can usually be completed within the practice during the time a ship is in the port.
For specialist medical care we usually refer to the Amsterdam OLVG Hospital with which we have a long-term working relationship and is also specially dedicated to the care of seamen.
The practice is also involved in medical advice for seamen at sea via the Radio Medische Dienst (Radio Medical Service) of the KNRM (Royal Dutch Rescue Society).
